The new feature is said to be part of the Chrome Canary update. Recently, it was reported that Google is also testing a feature that will provide support for muting and unmuting various tabs.

What is the use of the drag-and-drop Feature?

One of the Reddit users, Leopeva, has shared information via Reddit that Google is developing a new download UI for the Google Chrome Canary update.

Under this new UI, it looks like the unstable version of the Chrome Canary update will get the drag-and-drop feature. Under this, users are said to be able to move files directly to the Chrome browser’s Downloads menu on their desktop.

Even if this feature doesn’t make a huge difference, there’s no doubt that it will definitely save a few seconds for Chrome users – in workload environments.
